Review on Maybelline EYE STUDIO COLOR TATTOO 24HR CREAM GEL SHADOW

I went to Watsons few weeks ago to check if there are any new products to try. Guess what! I got few products including this amazing product! I really love it! 

Here it is! Maybelline Eye studio color tattoo 24Hr cream shadow in color Bad to the bronze.

Here are details of the products. It claims that 

• Ink technology creates 24HR wear shadow for our most intense, long-lasting color saturation  

• Cream formula glides on without creasing and keeps color vibrant
• Ophthalmologist-tested.  Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

It comes in 6 colors according to Maybelline HK website.

Shall we see how it looks on eyes? According to their website, for the best result, its recommend to use your finger tip. 

I just put one layer to each eyes and finished with false eyelashes. 

If you want more intense look, then you can apply few layers on your eyelid. 

with two layers on each side (look under natural light), I didn't wear fake lashes for below pictures.

I think this product is water-proof as well. Those swatches on my hand lasted 8 hours considering the fact that I wash my hands pretty frequently.

I really love this product, I think it does its job as claim to be. It really last long and it doesn't crease on my eyelids. I am not sure if it last 24 hours but it certainly last long time. 

I don't have any negative things to say about this product since I really do love this product! I forgot how much was this eyeshadow but it was below HKD100 for sure. 

If you are looking for a affordable single shadow, I totally recommend this product! I want to get other colours as well when I go to Watsons next time(arrrrrrrrr it means I have to spend more money).

I ordered these items two weeks ago and I hope they do still have those items in stock. 
Since I really like some of items I got, I wanted to share with you guys.


This is my 5th order from Zalora website and their shipping is pretty fast. It usually takes 2-3 days to get it delivered. Once time, I put wrong shipping address and called their contact centre and their customer service was pretty impressive as well.
These are what I got! I am a huge shoe collector!! I just love my shoes, especially high-heels!

I am very happy with my purchase and all of them fit well. Woohoo! I already wore the t-shrit and leggings and I got heaps of complement whenever I wear them. I cannot wait to try my red dress on special date with my husband!

How to make your eyelash longer (using Careprost and Castor oil)without eyelash extension!

Who doesn't want to have super long and thick eyelash? Luckily, I was born with long eyelash as an Asian. One day, I saw one of my friend and she had this gorgeous, long and thick eyelash. Literally, it looked like fake lash! I was told that she had an eyelash extension and it really looked natural. 

Since I am a beauty lover or beauty addict, I had to try and I got it done last year. I really liked it for 1-2 weeks, it was really convenient and looked so good. However, after 2 weeks, OMG, it started falling out here and there with my real eyelashes. Of course, my eyelashes grew back, but it wasn't the same.   

I tried few eyelash serums that help to grow eyelash. You name it those famous brands and some Korean brands. I didn't see any wow-results, but it was okay. I googled more methods and came across this product and some natural ways to grow your eyelash. 

This is the product (Careprost ) I tried and I have been using and happy with the result.

This product is ophthalmic solution containing prostaglandins manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals in the treatment of glaucoma. Often times, prostaglandin based solutions are used off label in the treatment for eyelashes that are too short or thin, helping to increase the length and thickness of lashes. To grasp the concept of how the product works, an understanding of eyelash hair growth cycles is important. Each hair grows according to its own cycle. By reducing the anagen (sleep) phase and extending the hair growth phase of the hair follicles, using Careprost daily will result in longer, fuller, and darker eyelashes.

I ordered two bottles of Careprost (USD57 not including international shipping fee) and it came with two applicators. 

This is the brochure came with and it shows how to use the product. 

It is so easy to use and this is the how to! 

These are what you need! (Careprost and one applicator)

You can directly apply onto the applicator but on the brochure it suggested to drop onto the cab of  the bottle for hygienic reason. 

Put one drop onto the cap and use a clean eyeliner brush, dip into the cap, and then immediately draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part.

I strongly recommend you to wash the eyeliner brush after use. I have been using this product for 6 weeks once a day now and I am really happy with the result. 

According to the brochure, The majority of users will see results in 10 weeks. However, there is also a small percentage of those who will have fullness and increased length in as little as 6 to 8 weeks. By 16 weeks, your lashes would have grown to its maximum results. After maximum effect, usage can be reduced to every other day.

It claims that best result can be seen after 10 weeks, so I am very excited to see the result after 10 weeks. 

Warning! There is a risk for eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible with decreased or stopped usage. Also, there is a potential for unexpected hair growth in any area outside of the target treatment area if Careprost "repeatedly" touches that area. This can be prevented by blotting excess solution with a tissue. Itching and redness has been reported, most often in the first few days of use, subsequently subsiding as time goes on. 

It also says if you stop using Careprost, your eyelashes are expected to return to their previous appearance slowly over time. 

It is really shame that it won't last forever but I will let you know once I finish using two bottles. 

If you are scared of using this chemical product, you can try organic castor oil instead. I also used this castor oil for a while before I used Careprost. I got this castor oil from iherb.com. 

Castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid.  This acid is a very effective natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent.  This can help keep any fungus or bacteria from inhibiting hair growth.  Since the oil is also very thick, it may help to prevent hair loss simply by helping to coat the hair and protect it from falling out.

Castor oil is also high in omega 9 fatty acids, which are nourishing to both the hair and the follicle, as well as the surrounding skin.  Castor oil has a unique ability to be deeply penetrating, and this helps it to deliver its nourishment deeply into the pores and the follicles that produce hair.

I just my old mascara wand to apply castor oil on my eyelash and eyebrow. It can be very sticky since it is super oily. It takes time to get result so you have to be really patient! 

I think both of them works well but it depends on you which product you choose. Castor oil is natural product so it won't harm you in any ways but like Careprost, it can give you some side effects such as darkening skin colour. So far, I didn't notice any skin darkening around my eyes, I will let you guys know if I face with any side effects. 

Review of Etude House CC cream

I am back with a new review on the product, Etude House CC cream! CC cream has been on the market for a while now and I finally got to try one of CC cream. I was so curious to know about what difference it has with BB cream.

My understanding of difference between CC cream and BB cream is that CC cream has more skincare elements than BB cream. Both of them are more like a tinted moisturiser.

I got this CC cream from this website called http://www.qoo10.hk few weeks ago. I paid HKD120 including shipping fee. It took more than a week to deliver to me. I thought it was pretty fast considering that this item was shipped from Korea.

Etude House CC(Care and Correct) Cream is available in 2 shades, 01 Silky and 02 Glow and I got mine in colour 01 Silky. It says on the package, this multitasking, 8-in-1 formula hydrates, primes, conceals, treats and protects skin at an easy single step for a healthier complexion, inside and outside.  It glides on with a silky smooth finish. Those 8 functions are anti aging ,stress relief, hydration, whitening, sun protection, tone-up, smooth texture, luminosity. Hmmmm, lets see if it really works as it claims. 

This is package of the product. It is just plain and simple package. 

I really like how it has pump. 

You can see those little beads. Don't freak out with the colour. I did when I pumped out the product!

When you massage into your skin, those capsules will be broken into and changed the colour from white to beige tone.  

This time on my face! You can see my all the pores and imperfections with closer look.

I just used my fingertips to massage into my skin. It certainly gives the glowing effect on my face but not much coverage. At least it covers my pores to compare to the previous pictures. 

I wanted to have more coverage on my face so I applied one of my foundations on top of the CC cream.

I didn't use any powder on top and as you can see it gives me nice glowing finish!

I have tried this product for nearly 2 weeks and overall I like this product. However, I don’t think it can replace my BB cream due to its coverage power. I use this product as a sunscreen since it has SPF30. I don’t think it really whitened my skin tone or diminish my wrinkles. It doesn’t really hydrate your skin but it does give you luminous finishing though. I can see some dry patch on my skin when I apply this product when I didn’t use my Clinique moisturiser. 

If you have dark skin, I wont recommend this product to use just alone since you can look ghostly with white face. It is just okay product, not like blow my mind. I think this can work the best as a primer since it seems cover my pores and fine lines when I apply my foundation. 

I will defiantly repurchase this product as my primer or wear it alone when I don't feel like wearing makeup as a suncream. It gives you little bit of coverage with glow, so if you want to look fresh not so dead looking, you can just use this alone.
